 RELAXATION IS KEY TO  GOOD HEALTH.
PHYSIOTHERAPISTS USE VARIOUS TECHNIQUES TO HELP RELIEVE YOUR STRESS.
  1. Regulated Deep Breathing - also known as controlled breathing technique, we teach, show and demonstrate to our patients how to regulate their breathing depth and pattern to induce a state of relaxation and calm.
  2. Progressive Muscle Relaxation - a facilitated session where, using appropriate media and illumination (removal of environmental stressors), we help and facilitate our patients to relax their physical bodies and body part(s), part by part, from head to toe.
PHYSIO TIP: DEEP BREATHING AND ANY CARDIOVASCULAR EXERCISE RELEASES ENDORPHINS (YOUR NATURAL BUILD IN HAPPY PILLS!!!)
TRY TO HAVE "ME TIME", READ A BOOK, TAKE A BATH OR A WALK (AT A LEVEL WHERE YOU CANNOT HOLD CONVERSATION) AND SHUT OUT THE WORLD. THIS MEANS IPHONES, IPADS, WHATSAP, BBM, FACEBOOK, EMAILS ETC.
